Intro to Spirulina: Grow Your Own Microalgae

Come learn how to grow spirulina, a microalgae that the UN once called “the best food for the future.” Well, the future is now and growing this spiral-shaped microalgae is an easy way to introduce this nutrient-rich food into your life. Our 60-minute workshop will cover the basic necessities for how to cultivate spirulina, with time for Q&A as well.

We will examine the materials needed, compare methods, and look at both the ‘classical’ open pond systems as well as the high-tech bioreactors designed to grow algae under more controlled conditions.
