Gender Neutral Beer Release Party
June 8, 2018
From our organizers:
Threes will host DJ Matty Glitteratti from 4:00 – 9:00 pm, drag performers Misty Meaner and Mocha Lite – and we’ll be celebrating the 2018 release of Gender Neutral beer, with a portion of the beer’s proceeds going to the Anti-Violence Project.
First launched during 2017 Pride, Gender Neutral is a lighter style pale lager with lemon zest, named playfully and introduced to show support for a worthwhile cause. For some time, the Threes team had wanted to create a beer called Gender Neutral, as they tend to have fun with beer names while also trying to make some broader commentary about human nature or society at large. When introducing this beer in 2017, it was a given to use it to support LGBTQ rights. As in 2017, 10% of sales of the beer will go towards an important cause, and this year it’s the Anti-Violence Project, an NYC-based organization that works with LGBTQ and HIV-affected communities to address all forms of violence through organizing, education and support.
