Cooking Club: Reimagining Columbus

According to the organizers:

The easiest way to cook new dishes isn’t by flipping through large cookbooks or scrolling through the internet, it’s simply to cook and learn from others. Which is why we’re starting a Cooking Club.

Spend the evening with us and learn how to cook from your fellow home chefs. After you reserve your spot, we will ask you to submit a recipe that you would like to teach others. We will select 3 dishes to feature during the Cooking Club: an appetizer, side, and main. During the Cooking Club, we will break up into small groups and cook the dishes together. If your recipe has been selected, you have the honor of leading your group in preparing this dish.

At the end of the evening, we will enjoy our beautiful farm to table dinner and recipes will be provided so you can go home and re-create the menu.

Our first installment is titled Reimagining Columbus as a way to celebrate the founding of America not by one individual who helped colonize a land that was already inhabited by others, but as a country made up of a multitude of ethnicities that continue to add more beautiful layers of identity to the United States. We will encourage participants to submit recipes that represent their own family’s cultural background.

This dinner is BYOB and only 8 tickets will be sold. Our Cooking Club is open to all: CSA and non CSA members. Ingredients will be sourced from the Local Roots CSA.
We believe cooking together, sharing our culinary culture with one another, and eating as a family is what makes food so meaningful in our lives. We look forward to spending our first Cooking Club with you.
