Green Flash Beer Christmas/Hanukkah Dinner at Jimmy’s No. 43. Leave the milk and cookies for Santa Claus and head to the East Village for a holiday dinner at Jimmy’s No. 43 on December 25th from 1 to 4 pm. There will be roasted meats, root vegetables and plenty of sides, your fair share of pie and of course, beer from the Green Flash Brewing Company, based in San Diego. Better still, Mike and Lisa Hinkely, the owners, will be there from California, too. Tickets are $25, and available here.
New Year’s Eve Feasting at Palo Santo. The pan-Latin restaurant in Park Slope is offering a menu built around wild-caught seafood, sustainably raised meats, tropical fruits and Greenmarket vegetables. There will be a three-course prix fixe menu available from 5 to 7 pm for $45, and a seven-course chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings for $145 from 9:30 pm on. Call the restaurant at (718) 636-6311 for additional information and to make your reservations.
Good Spirits at 82 Mercer. Already looking for the perfect gift for your Valentine? Forgo the chocolates (unless they’re local) and teddy bear-shaped balloons for a couple of tickets to Good Spirits, Edible’s seasonal cocktail event, this year on February 28th from 6 to 9 pm in Manhattan, in Soho. Bond over Italian snacks from Salumeria Rosi Parmacotto, swoon over cocktails from Williamsburg’s Huckleberry Bar, say “I love you” with a Phat Beet pickle from Rick’s Picks. Tickets are $45 and available here.
