Summer Cover: Our (Florida-style) Voting Results Are In!

You spoke, and we listened. Sort of!

Last week we invited your input on the selection of our summer issue cover. After much debate and careful consideration (among our staff as well as readers) the high honor went to that gorgeous shot of summer greens held by the head gardener at the historic Wyckoff Farmhouse out in East Flatbush. But online, commenters mostly screamed for ice cream, so the people’s choice award goes to Phin & Phebes, whose frozen confection tastes even better than it looks. (I was personally rooting for the shot of kids growing strawberries at Brownsville Student Farm and am going to frame that one over my desk.)

Mad props to all the candidates—as the axiom goes, it’s an honor to be nominated—and we hope you love the whole issue, which hits the streets in about a week!
