January 24: Forecasting the Year Ahead in Food, Farm Policy, and Politics
Predicting the weather is Punxsutawney Phil’s domain.  Predicting what’s going to happen when it comes to food, farm policy and politics? That’s where the NYC Food Almanac 2012 comes in.  From 6:30 to 9 pm at 632Below, a group of experts (including Edible’s own publisher Brian Halweil) will predict what will happen and call for what should happen with a panel discussion and Q&A.  The event will begin with networking and seasonal hors d’oeuvres from the Cleaver Co. and ends with a simple winter supper, wine and local beer. (Check out footage of last year’s event here.) Tickets are $35 for FSNYC members (though Food Systems Network NYC) and $45 for non-members and are available here.

January 30: Celebrate the Publication of the Slow Wine Guide in English
A walk-around wine tasting featuring over 140 wines from more than 60 Slow Wine producers (and some nibbles).  Admission to this event, which we’re co-sponsoring, includes a complimentary copy of the Slow Wine Guide and a commemorative wine glass.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Slow Food NYC.  Follow this link to get your tickets.

February 28: Good Spirits
There’s still time for you to click on over here to get your tickets to Good Spirits, our seasonal cocktail event at 82 Mercer in SoHo.  From 6 to 9 pm, your $45 ticket will give you access to some of the tastiest food and beverage Brooklyn and Manhattan has to offer.  This year’s superstar lineup includes everybody from Monument Lane to Back Forty, Bache Gabrielsen to Hendrick’s Gin and everyone in between.  We can’t think of a more delicious way to spend a Tuesday night in February.
