A CSA with Home Delivery Expands to Brooklyn; Our Readers Can Get $40 Off a Share

Next month a company called Farm Share will start delivering organic CSA shares from Norwich Meadows Farm to Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights, Downtown, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens and Fort Greene. Unlike most CSAs, which require you to pick them up, these shares are delivered directly to your home. Farm Share is offering a special offer for Edible Brooklyn readers: The first 10 to sign up will get $40 off a share with Brooklyn delivery. Just use the coupon code EDIBLE. The company already delivers to Manhattan, Connecticut and Westchester County.

Farm Share CSA memberships are $649 for produce, including delivery. The shares are designed for two adults (including those with small children) and will be delivered once a week for 22 weeks beginning in June.  (This is what people got last year; Eggs, local honey, and naturally grown fruit are also available.) All members receive a weekly email with recipes from chefs who also get the CSA, like Michael Anthony, Adam Kaye, and Suvir Saran.

Norwich Meadows is a beloved Greenmarket provider and supplies restaurants like Gramercy Tavern: It’s been run by Zaid Kurdieh and his wife Haifa since 1998 and is a diversified, small-scale, certified organic farm in Norwich, N.Y.

Enroll at www.myfarmshare.com with a credit card through the beginning of June.
