Lots of Cheese, Roberta’s Holiday Market and More of What to Do Every Day This Week


Tuesday: If you’re passionate about eating cheese, it can’t hurt to learn a bit about how to put together a party plate. Head over to Brooklyn Kitchen for the launch of The Art of the Cheese Plate by Tia Keenan. It’ll certainly prove useful at this time of year. 

Wednesday: The latest in Short Stack Editions’ series of tiny, ingredient-focused cookbooks is Ginger by Mindy Fox. Join the author at Greenpoint’s Archestratus bookstore to enjoy some of the recipes. Bonus: This store is a great spot to get some Christmas shopping done.

Thursday: If you’re passionate about cheese and beer, here’s an event for you. MOFAD is hosting Beer and Cheese Pairing for the Holidays, with Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery and cheesemonger Aaron Foster.

Friday: Those curious about bitter foods will want to head over to Archestratus once again for A Bitter, Bitter Meal with Ankur Parikh. The six-course meal will include dandelion greens, fenugreek pooris, matcha and more.

Saturday: Bushwick’s Roberta’s is hosting a holiday market with over 25 vendors selling crafts, jewelry, decor and more. There will be hot toddies!

Sunday: Olmsted is hosting FAMILY MEAL a fundraiser with Bon Appétit Chef Greg Baxtrom will be serving brunch from noon to 2 p.m., with proceeds going to charity.

Monday: Who doesn’t love a dumpling? Brooklyn Brainery is hosting Wontons and Dumplings, with both meat and vegetable fillings available.
