Direct from their West Coast tour, Argentine chef Diego Felix of the Colectivo Felix is hosting a pop-up dinner with chef Hugo Orozco Carrillo at La Slowteria on Monday July 29. The largely pescaterian 3-course menu applies Latin American techniques to locally sourced regional food, but there’s always room for last-minute, market-driven inspiration to accompany the calamari chorizo with apple chimichurri, halibut tiradito and bottomless chicha on deck. Mexican loteria cards are a big theme at the Carroll Gardens restaurant, so it’s not surprising that they want to leave something to chance.
