Eater’s Top 20 Most Underrated Restaurants Overlooked Our Favorite Brooklyn Burger Joint

One damn fine burger. Good fries, too.

Today Eater.com put out its first-ever Map of Underrated Restaurants. It’s too late for our two cents to make their fancy map of 20 overlooked eateries (we love Eater’s fancy maps, we must admit) but we still want to make our two cents heard: Roebling Tea Room, with a bullet. We explain why right here. They’ve changed the wallpaper since we last profiled the space, but the food keeps getting better and better. (And they have an “A” rating, as proven in a tweet from the restaurant just this afternoon.) Try the cranberry icing topped “Garbage” cake, should you stop by.  And never say no to the burger, shown above topped with its luscious Big Mac-style sauce. Or the steak tartare with fried chickpeas and Kewpie mayonnaise. Or chicken cockaleeckie, with its lovely little dumplings. Or the sheet pasta, now topped with turnips and beets and beef shin…
