Back in our Winter 2009 issue we profiled the Brooklyn filmmakers behind The Greenhorns: A Film About Young Farmers in America. A very long (to them, at least) three years later the movie is finally being shown. Its Brooklyn premiere will be at The Bell House in Gowanus on Sunday (doors at 7 p.m.), and includes music and snacks. Tickets are $5 in advance–you can buy them here–or are $7 at the door. You can find out more about the movie at www.greenhorns.net, as well as the Greenhorns themselves, a group of grass-roots agricultural activists who hope to change the way this country farms for the better, both by targeting young, progressive farmers and by telling their stories.
