More Pop-Up Holiday Markets? We’re Certainly Not Complaining, as These Also Sell Beer

Even the pop-ups have pop-ups these days, it seems. We’re just fine with that.

Those bemoaning the loss of Smorgasberg, Williamsburg’s Sunday food frenzy by the sea, will find solace in its winter edition, which makes up for its smaller footprint with sales of alcohol. Until spring, SmorgasBrewery is being held right inside Brooklyn Brewery at North 11th and Wythe Avenue on Sundays, with both beers on tap for sale and food from five vendors who split their time at the Saturday Flea at One Hanson Place in Fort Greene. (Get the details and see who is at both each week right here.)

Also next weekend Loreley Williamsburg will host its second Christmas Market pop-up in its beer garden at 64 Frost Street and Meeker Avenue. In addition to brews and their customary sausages and snacks, they’ll have both red and white mulled wine, Brooklyn-based crafts and food/drink products for sale… or consumption.

And while it doesn’t sell beer–yet, anyway–there’s also a Holiday Food & Fair Bazaar at the Loom on Flushing and Knickerbocker for the next few weekends, featuring locally made food and crafts, as well as the winter outpost of the Bushwick Farmers Market. We don’t know about your giftees, but we’ll glad take carrots for Christmas.
