Sure it’s technically only a few subway stops away, but sometimes for Manhattanites, it seems like Brooklyn might as well be located in Connecticut or New Jersey. Now, at long last, our friends across the river won’t even have to make the trek over here to enjoy Union Market, our borough’s beloved purveyor of all things delicious. After three locations in BK, Manhattan shoppers can now stop by their very own location on Houston Street and stock up on favorites like pickles from Rick’s Picks, baked goods from The Blue duck Bakery Café (which FYI is located in Southold and Southampton, if you’re planning a trip out East), beer from the Brooklyn Brewery and jerky from SlantShack Jerky. Plus, Katy Sparks, who previously owned Quilty’s in SoHo and is gearing up to be the chef at Tavern on the Green once it reopens next year will be the consulting chef, overseeing the prepared food offerings.
Happy shopping!
