It’s time for one of my all-time favorite wine events of the year, Brooklyn Uncorked – a sipping and swirling smorgasbord of Long Island’s fab vinified offerings. But this year in particular is pretty special because it marks a moment in Long Island wine country history – the 40th Anniversary. A glass raised to that.
At this month’s sixth annual Brooklyn Uncorked, over 700 wine and food enthusiasts flooded the former Williamsburgh Savings Bank–a spectacular building with soaring ceilings that’s better known as Skylight One Hanson–to nibble and sip the various food and wine offerings from over 60 vendors.
On Saturday, April 14 more than 50 food and farm getaway destinations within a day’s drive or train ride of NYC will be exhibiting on the main floor of Skylight One Hanson in the old Art Deco Williamsburgh Savings Bank, as part of the second annual EscapeMaker.com Local Food & Travel Expo.
