Science and Society: The Challenge of Teaching Across Disciplines
January 26, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free

According to the organizers:
Monica Rowley and Karen Rowley Hogan teach across disciplinary lines. Monica is a poet who teaches science students at Brooklyn Tech High School, and Karen is a biologist who teaches art and design students at University of Pennsylvania. Both are interested in using interdisciplinarity in the classroom to create the next generation of problem-solvers.
Join us as they share stories from the classroom and growing up in a home of seven children, and learn how these experiences shaped their views on the future of education, biology, research, and the humanities.
This is a free lecture, light refreshments will be served
