Red Hook Food and Wine Tour

According to the organizers:

The food and beverage scene in Brooklyn is taking off, and there is no better story than the explosion of makers in Red Hook. We’ll explore farm-to-fork, grape-to-glass, and nose-to-tail on this walking and imbibing tour.

We’ll meet up at the Smith-9th St stop on the F/G line and walk into the heart of Red Hook, discussing its rich history and landmarks along the way. We’ll stop by Added Value Farms, an incredible 2.75 acre youth-led urban farming and compost operation, where you can pick up fresh produce grown on site.

Next, we’ll head down to the waterfront and do a wine tasting at Red Hook Winery and learn about the wines they produce on site. Then we have the unique opportunity to go inside the operation of Fleisher’s, a craft butchery focused on grass-fed and organic meats. We’ll make suggestions for enjoying the rest of the evening in the area after the tour.

You’ll become a Red Hook expert and get hooked on this awesome neighborhood. Expect fun (and delicious) surprises along the way!
