Queer Soup Night: New Sanctuary Edition
November 12, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

From the organizers:
Winter is coming, so let’s get close.
QSN is back with the same soup-slurping, justice-loving, positive vibes. This time, co-hosted by our friends at Jarry Mag, a queer food journal.
But wait, there’s more…
We have a new venue to make room for our growing community. C’mon Everybody! Also, new guest chefs and new DJs (scroll down for details).
We are also SO proud to announce this month’s beneficiary, New Sanctuary Coalition of New York City!!! Read more about their inspiring and important work below. We’ll be sharing more info about them throughout the month.***
A couple other important notes for 11/12:
Amazing guest chefs coming at you:
Lukas Volger (Jarry Mag), Chef Kristopher Edelen (HOTPANnyc), Chef Ora Wise (Harvest and Revel) and, as usual, Liz Alpern of The Gefilteria.

***The New Sanctuary Movement of NYC is an interfaith network of congregations, organizations, and individuals, standing publicly in solidarity with families and communities resisting detention and deportation in order to stay together. The Coalition is founded and run by and for immigrants and gives direct emotional and spiritual support, legal help, training in legal rights and protection to people targeted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). NSC has only a single full-time paid staffer and three part-timers. Together with an army of 500-plus volunteers, they provide person-to-person support to hundreds of immigrants facing detention and deportation.
