Publishing-Food-Stories

From the organizers:

Publishing Food Stories is a day of discussion and interaction, exploring the different ways we tell food stories today, and how to get them published. From inspiration, to building a platform, recipe writing, nailing a literary agent, blogging, journals, crowd-funding, self-publishing, and traditional publishing, this is a behind-the-scenes workshop with the people who bring cookbooks and magazines to life.  This will be an honest, informed and, most importantly, inspiring exploration of food publishing right now.

Led by a panel of industry experts at Neighborhood Studio’s intimate test kitchen, Publishing Food Stories is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with key industry leaders from the world of food publishing. Our event will help you understand how to tell compelling and authentic food stories in an increasingly competitive and diversified industry.

If you are a writer, food blogger, food photographer, stylist, published cookbook author, first-time author, aspiring food journalist or publisher looking for inspiration and information, this is the workshop for you. Each panelist will be on hand to provide their unique and hands-on experience in publishing, and will share advice on the steps you need to take to get published. All attendees will have time to ask questions and speak openly with the panelists – bring your ideas and questions.

This workshop will include time to mingle and enjoy a beautiful lunch in our kitchen, cooked by Jodi Moreno and Hetty McKinnon.
