Photography and Food Styling with Beth Kirby

One-day intensive workshop covering photography + camera basics, styling a food photo shoot, editing in Lightroom, and social media + brand building for creatives with Beth Kirby

Join Beth Kirby of Local Milk for a one day photography & styling workshop coupled with a seasonal lunch at the Sunday Suppers studio to fuel us while we work for the day.

Our day together will be spent immersed in learning food photography & styling. We’ll be covering how to change digital camera settings, their effects on your photographs, lenses, food styling, prop styling, controlling & using natural light, editing photos in Lightroom, and how to build a small business through social media, branding, and a visual digital presence.

The workshop will be held in a light filled Sunday Suppers Brooklyn studio, and we’ll get to know one another that morning over coffee and pastries. After introductions we’ll cover the basics of photography, composition, and light and make sure beginners are comfortable with their camera settings & how to change them. Beth will then give a styling demonstration and walk guests through her creative process. We’ll then enjoy a lunch from Sunday Suppers, highlighting fresh and seasonal ingredients. Guests will leave, we hope, with strengthened photography, styling, and editing skills as well as relationships with other likeminded creatives.
