According to the organizers:

Spend a day getting your hands dirty at NYC’s largest outdoor aquaponic farm, The Moore St Market Farm. In this 6-hour course students will learn the basic science of aquaponics, the fish best suited for aquaponics, seeding and harvesting in various different media, be introduced to design options and more. At the end of the day all participants will be well-versed enough to build their own aquaponics system.

After experiencing aquaponics first hand, we will feast! Students will harvest vegetables and fish for a small dinner prepared on the farm. And you’ll be able to take home some of our farm-fresh local produce.

The class will be taught by the founders of Oko Farms, an urban farming company with a focus on aquaponics and education.

As this class is hands-on in nature we have a maximum capacity of 10 students. Book fast!

All participants must wear closed toe shoes. Bring some cash with you for snacks as well.
