Intentional Hiring and Training in the Food Industry

March 16, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

According to the organizers:

Join us for a leadership panel to learn how to take action to use your business in the food industry as a force for good in New York City. There are many ways that businesses are uniquely positioned to push us forward to achieve positive impacts for NYC workers and communities, and at this event you will learn about two of these ways: through intentional hiring, and by providing comprehensive training to the workforce.

You’ll be hearing from three leading values-driven businesses in the food industry: Eat Offbeat, Ovenly, and Valente Yeast. These pioneering businesses joined the Best for NYC campaign last year to showcase how to do business in a way that’s right by everyone the business touches. You’ll learn how embedding positive business practices brings value to the bottom line, and hear a bit about the challenges and strategies they used to become the successful and impactful businesses they are today.

This panel is structured to support businesses who are taking the Best for NYC Challenge, so if you have not already taken the Challenge, please do so before March 16th! It takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. More details about how to complete the Best for NYC Challenge can be found below.
