GC Fritai Friday: Mozayik
September 8, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
From the organizers:
As summer is winding down we’ve got some chill sounds with plenty of Caribbean flavor. This Fritai Friday features Afro-Haitian jazz band, Mozayik. “Mozayik’s musical concept draws upon a rich legacy of traditional Afro-Haitian rhythms and melodies, and blends them with the instrumentation, melodic/harmonic sensibilities and improvisation of modern jazz.”
Grandchamps Fritai Friday provides local musicians with a space to showcase their talent as well as a platform to tell their stories. It is an open invitation to the community to party with us: dance, laugh, and eat that close-to-home Haitian fare.
