FEAST FOR THE EYES | Food Styling with Michael Harlan Turkell

Michael Harlan Turkell, a once aspiring chef, and now twice-nominated James Beard food photographer and cookbook author, has photographed many the inner workings of many prominent chefs’ kitchens. He also hosts The Food Seen and Modernist BreadCrumbs on Heritage Radio Network, as well as, Season 3 of Food52’s Burnt Toast podcast.
Together with Cook Space, Harlan Turkell will impart his years of expertise to teach students the art of food styling. In this class, he’ll show you ways to make your food look as good as it tastes. Whether you’re looking to improve your presentation to impress your party guests, or simply want to treat yourself to a delectable-looking dish, you’ll walk out having learned the tricks of the trade from an industry professional.
Students are invited to bring their own cameras as there will be time to take photos during class. Although there will not be a seated meal at the end of class, light bites will be provided.
