Hello friends, readers, eaters!
Roads and Kingdoms invites you to celebrate Sudanese food and culture by enjoying a family-style feast inspired by Omer Eltigani, author of the forthcoming cookbook The Sudanese Kitchen, to benefit the American Refugee Committee and their invaluable work in Sudan and around the world.
If you’re anything like us, you’re feeling dismayed by the current climate of xenophobia. We decided to do what we do best at Roads and Kingdoms; eat food and talk to people. We’ve partnered with Eltigani and Glasserie to celebrate the food and culture of each country on the executive order travel ban.
If you believe that breaking bread is a better diplomatic strategy than arbitrary travel bans, join us on July 19. Net proceeds will benefit the ARC.
