Everyone is happy to see 2016 fade into memory, which is all the more reason to send it out with a big night. These restaurants and bars are all celebrating in their own distinct ways, from shot specials to big burgers to French fare. Here are some New Year’s Eve parties for every style.
Gristmill
At one of our favorite Park Slope spots, enjoy a five-course prix fixe menu—including everything garlic knots with smoked salmon, ricotta and dill, and the debut of the Gristmill burger—for $75, as well as a special à la carte menu. Seatings are at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., and while reservations are encouraged, walk-ins are welcome.
August Laura
This Carroll Gardens bar is throwing a Fancy as F*** Dance Party for the holiday, that will definitely live up to its name: $3 punch, $9 French 75s and shot specials that are guaranteed to earn you a very greasy brunch come New Year’s Day. No tickets or reservations necessary.

Reynard
The Williamsburg restaurant from chef Andrew Tarlow will be serving a Southern-inspired menu, featuring black eyed peas, black sea bass with fresh crab meat and béarnaise and Key Lime fiz. Call for reservations: 718-460-8004.
Marlow & Sons
Go a little farther south for seafood towers with lobster, uni, littleneck clams, and more. There will also be a celebratory cocktail list and lots of Champagne at the two seatings, from 6 to 7 p.m. and from 9 p.m. onward.

Le Garage
For a Bushwick holiday, head over to Le Garage. The $55 per person prix fixe menu includes items like duck confit, seared scallops and lemon mille feuille.
Diner
Help the restaurant celebrate its 18th anniversary on the day, with specials like caviar with brown-butter crêpes, or a lamb plate with rack, saddle and sausage.
