This Earth Day, April 22, Slow Money New York City is putting on a program to help readers like you figure out how to invest in the local food scene. The two-hour program will take place at Stone Barns Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, NY (cool!) and feature pitches from these 5 awesome food and farm entrepreneurs looking to raise funds for their big ideas: Brooklyn Grange (a rooftop farm in our own city); First Field, (an organic farm making value-added products like ketchup and relish); Farm to Table Co-Packers (a local food processing facility); Windowfarms (makers of a DIY kit for growing food in your very own apartment window) and New York Mouth (an online store featuring products from local, indie food makers like jam-maker extraordinaire Anarchy in a Jar). Who wouldn’t wanna give money to these guys? Tickets are $75 and you can buy them here.
